About the Book

Bring Out The BEST! shares stories and personal accounts from people of all walks of life who have been involved in Taste of the NFL’s mission to kick hunger. Through the words of volunteers, chefs, NFL greats, hunger relief advocates and others, Bring Out The BEST! shows how one simple idea, with one simple purpose can impact the lives of millions of people.

All book sale proceeds benefit Feeding America-affiliated food banks in each NFL city across the country. Money raised will help address the needs of the 50+ million Americans who rely on these services each year.

The book profiles many well-known friends of Taste of the NFL. Contributing stories include those from Chef Bobby Flay, Wine Maker Gina Gallo, Former Dallas Cowboys Daryl Johnston and Chad Hennings, ESPN Sideline Reporter Michele Tafoya and many others.

In addition to these well-respected individuals, two unique pairs of Taste of the NFL supporters are profiled – Chef Jack McDavid and NFL Great Jerry Sisemore, and Chef Allen Susser and former Miami Dolphins’ Safety Dick Anderson. These four hunger advocates have been part of Taste of the NFL every year since its inception in 1992. For 20 years they have shared their talents and time in the fight against hunger. In Bring Out The BEST! Scott Murray shows how their paths came to cross in this effort of giving.

Bring Out The BEST! is authored by Scott Murray, nationally renowned broadcast journalist, keynote speaker and author of Whatever It Takes (2007). Wayne Kostroski, founder of Taste of the NFL and 2010 James Beard Humanitarian of the Year, was a contributing writer and the book’s mastermind.
